20” Be-Bop Ride, 1982 grams
This is a zildjian alloy ride that was extensively re-hammered top and bottom to create more complexity and reduce a ‘boingy’ character in the wash.
It was lathed top and bottom, the bottom with wider bands to open her up a little but keep her dark.
It’s complex, possesses great top end frequency representation in the wash and has a great woody stick sound. It blends perfectly with brass instruments and has a nice ‘roar’ in the sound that records beautifully as well.
